Dr.S. Ziaudeen, former Principal of TKMCE passed away on 6th July morning at 8 a.m.
He suffered a massive heart attack and was hospitalised in KIMS, Thiruvananthapuram and was on ventilator system. However, he didn't recover and unfortunately, left for heavenly abode.
Dr. Ziaudeen was a very lovable, proactive and committed teacher, who, during his short stint as the Principal, was keen to improve the facilities at TKMCE to bring it up to best amongst Engineering colleges in India and abroad. He had diiscussed many of his dream projects with the alumni associations, which remain incomplete. Completing them would be the greatest tribute to him.
Dr. Ziaudeen is an alumnus of College of Engineering, Thiruvananthapuram (77EC).
Final rites were be performed on 6th evening at 4 p.m. at Makkani Mosque, Chinnakkada, Kollam, in presence of a large audience of his students, fellow faculty of TKMCE and batchmates from CET, Thiruvananthapuram.
Dr. Ziaudeen is survived by his wife Ms. Deena, son-Nishad, an engineer who works in Qatar and daughter-Sherin, who is studying for BDS. Dr. Ziaudeen's brother, Mr. Shajahan is a TKMCE 88 EE alumnus and his sister Mumthaz Beegum works as Junior Superintendent at TKMCE.
An extraordinary meeting of the Executive Committee of UAE Chapter was called on 7th July at Dubai and a Condolence Resolution was passed, which has been sent to the Principal, TKMCE Alumni Association and UAE Chapter members.

His contributions to TKM College of Engineering, its students, faculty and alumni community will always be remembered and valued.
